We live in a world marked by deep wounds—emotional, physical, and spiritual. And many believers walk around carrying burdens Christ already died to break off. Deliverance and healing aren’t fringe elements of Christianity. They’re foundational to the gospel.
18 “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed, (ESV)
Jesus didn’t come just to forgive sin. He came to cast out darkness, restore what was broken, and make His people whole.
What Is Deliverance?
Deliverance is being set free from demonic oppression, strongholds, or spiritual bondage.
17 And these signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will cast out demons; they will speak in new tongues; (ESV)
📝 Deliverance isn’t strange. It’s scriptural. It’s Jesus continuing His ministry through His body—the Church.
What Is Healing?
3 He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. (ESV)
Healing is the restoration of your body, mind, emotions, and spirit through the power of Jesus.Whether it’s trauma, soul wounds, anxiety, or even physical illness, healing is part of what Christ paid for.
Common sources of inner wounds:
Unhealed trauma
Bitterness from unforgiveness
Anxiety or depression tied to spiritual oppression
Physical symptoms caused by soul-level turmoil
How Do You Know You Need Deliverance or Healing?
Ongoing sin patterns or addictions
Nightmares, sleep paralysis, or tormenting thoughts
Spiritual dryness that won’t lift
Intense emotional swings or breakdowns
Chronic fear, anxiety, or outbursts of anger
Physical ailments with no medical root
Repeated “stuck” seasons—like something unseen is resisting
📝 These are not always demonic—but they are red flags. And ignoring them only prolongs the suffering.
The Power Is in Jesus’ Name
10 so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, (ESV)
📝 It’s not about shouting louder. It’s about standing under the authority of the One who already conquered death, hell, and every demon in between.
Steps to Walking in Deliverance and Healing
1. Submit to God
7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. (ESV)
Repent of known sin.
Renounce lies, pride, fear, or ties to the occult.
Fully surrender to the Lordship of Jesus.
📝 Authority flows from alignment. No submission = no spiritual covering.
2. Identify the Strongholds
What lies have you believed?
What patterns have you tolerated?
Is there unforgiveness poisoning your soul?
📝 The first step to casting out darkness is locating its hiding place.
3. Command the Darkness to Leave
25 But Jesus rebuked him, saying, “Be silent, and come out of him!” (ESV)
Use Jesus’ name with boldness.
Declare your body, mind, and home off-limits to the enemy.
Speak directly to fear, infirmity, lust, or torment—and evict them.
📝 You don’t ask demons to leave. You tell them.
4. Pray for Healing
5 But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we are healed. (ESV)
Lay hands where healing is needed.
Declare God’s promises aloud.
Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal deep wounds needing His touch.
📝 Healing isn't just physical—it's emotional and spiritual, too.
Keep the House Clean
Deliverance is a beginning—not the finish line. After freedom, you must:
Saturate your life with the Word and prayer
Shut every spiritual door that was once open
Stay accountable in community
Walk in obedience, not perfection, but surrender
📝 Don’t just get free—stay free.
Final Thought: It’s Already Paid For
10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly. (ESV)
Jesus didn’t die for partial healing or partial freedom. He died so you could walk whole, healed, and victorious.
So stop carrying what He already canceled.Break the chain.Bind the lie. Call on His name.
Freedom and healing are not future dreams. They are present promises—paid for in blood.
Ask Yourself:
Have I accepted certain chains as permanent just because they’ve been around a long time?
Have I submitted fully—or am I still trying to self-deliver?
Do I believe Jesus wants me healed—or just forgiven?
