Genesis is the first brick in the foundation of the Christian faith. It’s the “ground zero” of everything we believe about God, humanity, sin, salvation, and the destiny of creation. Yet in today’s world—even among some Christians—Genesis is often treated like a myth, a poetic story, or a theological metaphor rather than historical reality.

The Depravity of Man is redefined. If Adam and Eve didn’t really fall, where did sin come from?
The Gospel loses its foundation. If there was no real fall, what exactly are we being saved from?

The Enemy Has Always Attacked the Beginning
It’s no accident that the very first words satan ever spoke to humanity were designed to cast doubt on God’s Word:
1 Now the serpent was more crafty than any other beast of the field that the LORD God had made. He said to the woman, “Did God actually say, ‘You shall not eat of any tree in the garden’?” (ESV)
That question is still echoed in our culture: Did God actually create the world in six days? Did He really make Adam from dust and Eve from his rib?
This is more than a debate about science or ancient literature—it’s a battle over the authority of God’s Word. If satan can make you doubt the beginning, he can make you doubt everything else that follows.
