It Reminds Us We Are Part of a Bigger Story
Your walk with Christ isn't isolated. You are part of a living, breathing community that spans time, cultures, and continents.
We stand on the prayers, sacrifices, and teachings of countless faithful believers before us.
Their victories and failures are our family history.
1 Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, (ESV)
It Helps Us Recognize Old Lies in New Clothes
False teachings aren't new; they just keep resurfacing with fresh branding.
