Jude - Contend for the Faith

General Letters

Author(s):

Jude (Jesus’ brother)

New Testament

📖 What It’s About

Jude is a short but thunderous letter written to believers under spiritual threat. Originally intending to write about the shared joy of salvation, Jude pivots with urgency to warn the Church: False teachers have slipped in among you — and they’re dangerous.

These deceivers were twisting grace into license, promoting immorality, and denying the lordship of Jesus. Jude calls believers to contend for the faith, remember God’s judgment on the rebellious, and remain rooted in love and truth while waiting for Christ’s return.

  • Where do I need to show mercy — and where do I need to stand firm?

  • Do I trust Christ not only to save me, but to keep me from stumbling?

Jude is a battle cry for a drifting Church:

Don’t tolerate deception. Don’t coast in compromise. Don’t forget who keeps you.

Truth is worth the fight — because Christ is worth everything.
